Dear Dr Schiele

At the beginning of the year I broke out in a rash on my arms, which rapidly spread over the whole of my body. My G.P was mystified by it and his diagnosis's ranged from scabies to soap allergies. I tried many treatments including Calamine Lotion and Vaseline all to no avail.

After several weeks the itch was so bad the spots were bleeding and I couldn't bear clothes on so just wrapped myself in a cotton sheet. I decided to see a dermatologist privately. He diagnosed eczema and prescribed steroid cream to be applied twice a day but one of the side effects was a thinning of the skin which I could ill-afford as I am awaiting heart surgery. I also purchased the cream (skin/body lotion) which healed my broken skin and the hair shampoo cured the spots in my head.
