New Successful Treatments for skin disorders with Class 1 Medical Devices

Present problems experienced by the NHS, GPs and patients

“Skin Disorders represent a chronic burden to GPs in terms of numbers of patients seen, time spent with patients and prescription of drugs. Despite this, patient management is often poor; patients are unhappy with their care and find difficulty in self-management.” (Ref 1)

24% of patients admitted to having been non-compliant with prescribed treatments.

It becomes apparent that what is needed is a more practical, short and long term more effective and cost saving alternative in managing skin conditions.

115 Case studies with Class 1 Medical Devices

Investigated and assessed were NHS prescribed treatments in comparison to Salcura Professional Skin Management Series products managing common skin conditions such as: Dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis, Skin Allergies, Skin Infections, Skin Rashes, Rosacea and Urticaria.

A total of 115 NHS patients, (male and female adults of different ages and young children and infants) were investigated by a questionnaire. All patients had been diagnosed and continuously treated by their GP and/or a Consultant Dermatologist for either several months or for many years, (up to 45), before they stopped using NHS prescribed product treatments and then changed over and used Salcura Professional Skin Management Series Products (Class 1 Medical Device).

• Approx 65% of patients assessed the effectiveness of conventional treatments as very poor or poor.
• Approx 10% of patients assessed the effectiveness of conventional treatments as good, none as very good.

• Approx 50% of patients were not satisfied with conventional treatments, did get very little or inadequate relief over a 5 year period of constant treatment.
• Approx 40% further patients needed constant conventional treatment for 6 – 45 years and still got very little or inadequate relief over these periods of constant treatment.

• Approx 95% of patients were very satisfied with Salcura Professional Skin Management Series products, did get positive results and adequate relief within only 1 month of constant management.
• 0% of patients needed Salcura Professional Skin Management series products for more than 1 year of constant management.
• Approx 70% of patients in fact considered they were cured within 3 months of using Salcura Professional Skin Management series products (Class 1 Medical Device).

Note:
Out of 115 patients questioned 96 patients would like Salcura Professional Skin Management series products to be available on the NHS, 1 patient responded with no and 18 patients did not respond.

These case studies prove that Salcura Professional Skin Management products (Class 1 Medical Devices) seem to provide the solution for better management of skin disorders.
