The Salcura range of natural skin therapy products is undoubtedly one of the most innovative and comprehensive product ranges available on today’s market. For this reason Salcura was one of ten companies invited to attend the International Launch of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation (IPI) which was held at the Royal Society – City of London Rooms and the House of Lords, London.
With a high profile audience from the NHS, DTI and Department of Health in attendance including Lord David Sainsbury of Turville, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Science and Innovation as well as Baroness Lockwood Salcura had the opportunity to demonstrate and showcase unique capabilities and product innovations to the industry.
Our high performance products are not pharmaceutical but are instead non-pharmaceutical. Our work is based on biotechnology and biological science and due to the strength of our work it was felt that Salcura would add credibility to the event and should be included.

The University of Leeds, School of Medicine and the University of Bradford, Research and Knowledge Transfer Support undertook a study to assess the type of innovative skin therapy products available on the market and also those that were included and displayed at the MEDICA Exhibition and Congress 2004.
The aim of this study was to benchmark our current range of skin therapy products, including the use of our products for allergy and wound care, against similar products. Whilst the study identified companies that were displaying their technologies and products in the same market areas as the Salcura Range of products which included pharmaceutical products, bandage/latex protection and even synthetic and radio-surgical innovation, none of the companies bench marked were found to use a Natural Colloidal Solution Delivery System, based on Biotechnology and Nanotechnology. The conclusion drawn from this is that due to the difficulty and complexity of colloidal solutions Salcura is leading this sector of the market.

MEDICA Exhibition and Congress, Germany
MEDILINK invited Salcura ltd and hosted Salcura Ltd and the Salcura range of natural skin therapy products on the British group stand and very successfully promoted our technologies at the exhibition to a worldwide audience. Feedback from the exhibition has been very encouraging and is now helping Salcura pave the way forward into the international marketplace.
MEDICA is the world’s largest medical congress and trade fair for medicine and is the key event for the health care technologies sector to showcase and pick up on the latest developments. There were over 4000 exhibitors and over 130,000 visitors from all corners of the world and this invaluable opportunity was only available to 9 invited companies of which Salcura was one those successfully chosen. MEDILINK’S services are specifically designed to highlight a company’s products and profile in international markets with the additional involvement of UK Trade and Investment. One of the highlights of this event was the attendance of Lord Warner, former UK Health Minister and John Wilkinson, Director General of the Association of British Health Care Industries.

The high quality performance of our products has been one of the main focal points of our work and has lead to many recommendations and appraisals. Our products have been compared and tested in various ways but no test can be as raw as one made in the media spotlight for everyone to witness.
The Allergy magazine, in association with Allergy UK (National Allergy Society), performed one such test against a staggering 21 of our competitors’ products that could be considered for treating eczema.This is what was published in their magazine:
